Attorney Bennett is a founding partner of the firm. Mr. Bennett is admitted to the Bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Court - District of Massachusetts, the State of Florida, and the United States District Court – Middle District of Florida. Attorney Bennett is a graduate of the University of Florida (1993) and the University of Miami School of Law (1996).

Attorney Bennett practices primarily in the areas of commercial and general business litigation, non-competition and non-solicitation disputes, contracts, employment law and litigation, real estate litigation, landlord/tenant law, construction litigation, and commercial lease drafting and negotiations. Attorney Bennett’s clients range from individuals and start-up businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Attorney Bennett’s litigation and negotiation experience is extensive. Some of his accomplishments include:

Lead trial counsel in more than 50 jury trials and more than 100 bench trials within the courts of the State of Florida, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the Federal Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (United States District Court of Massachusetts).

Tried cases involving business litigation matters, contract disputes, real estate disputes, employment law matters, unfair trade practices, fraud and misrepresentation, partnership disputes, construction disputes, and criminal matters.

Representation of numerous clients involving motions for preliminary injunctions relative to restrictive covenants, such as non-compete agreements and non-solicitation agreements.

Representation of partners and shareholders in closely-held businesses regarding allegations of breach of fiduciary duty, and other business dissolution matters.

Representation of landlords and tenants relating to commercial and residential tenancy disputes, liquidated damages and accelerated rent disputes, security deposit disputes, and other landlord tenant law matters.

Representation of commercial real estate developers relating to purchase and sale agreement disputes, real estate contract disputes, and disputes relating to letters of intent.

Representation of clients involving real estate litigation matters, including claims involving misrepresentation, fraud, and breaches of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.

Representation of businesses and individuals in the negotiation, drafting, and litigation of asset purchase agreements.

Providing human resources and labor and employment law advice and litigation services regarding all aspects of the employer/employee relationship, including wrongful termination, the hiring and firing of employees, wage and hour laws, overtime wages, classification of employees vs. independent contractors, sexual harassment issues, and other employment-related issues.

Negotiation, drafting, and review of severance agreements, including highly compensated individuals and officers of corporations.

Numerous commercial lease negotiations on behalf of both landlords and tenants, including leases at Rockefeller Center, New York, New York, and various commercial and retail buildings in Boston and the Greater Boston area.

Representation of numerous dentists and medical doctors, involving the purchase and sale of medical practices and labor and employment law issues relating to medical practices.
