Bennett & Belfort Attorney Nafisa Bohra, in her role as co-chair of the Attorneys of Color/Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee of the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association (MELA), is one of the primary organizers for an exciting upcoming panel and networking event focusing on representing employees.
The event is co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys, and is focused on connecting with attorney and law student members of affinity bar associations. The event is planned to encourage and inform on careers in plaintiff’s employment law, while providing helpful practice information, with a diversity and equity and inclusion (DEI) focus. The panels will address careers in plaintiff’s employment law, disparities in damages awards and other way unconscious bias negatively affects Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) plaintiffs, and issue spotting in wage cases. B&B Partner Michaela May, who is MELA’s vice president, will be moderating the wage panel.
B&B looks forward to a fun and informative event!
